Case Worker Are you a people person? Organized? Like to make things happen? The PILOT case worker manages the process of transferring dogs between PILOT’s partner animal control agencies, shelters, and rescues.

Transport Coordinator PILOT also needs an experienced, organized, people-oriented volunteer to coordinate the transports and lead the transportation team.

Animal Control Liaison Like working with animal welfare organizations? Handy with a camera and a computer? This volunteer assists animal control agencies (ACOs) with posting dogs to PILOT; this can include reaching out to ACOs to remind them to post dogs, gathering more information, or traveling to the ACO to take photos or write a description of a dog.

Medical Fund Liaison Many dogs posted on PILOT have medical issues that are a barrier to their placement with a shelter or rescue. This volunteer works to remove this barrier by building relationships with the Massachusetts veterinary community. The goal is to obtain veterinary services for dogs in the PILOT program for free or reduced cost.

Follow Up Coordinator Want to help PILOT in a way that doesn’t involve driving? Are you an organized, people person? This volunteer position may be for you. This person is responsible for reaching out to receiving organizations after they have taken in a dog from the PILOT program to gather status, anecdotes, stories, photos or other information about the dogs.

Volunteer Coordinator Are you excellent with people, responsive, and known as a great communicator? This volunteer is the first point of contact for new PILOT volunteers. This volunteer recruits and orients new volunteers and assures that their skill sets match PILOT’s needs.
