Volunteer for PILOT!

Why Volunteer for PILOT?

What Do Volunteers Do? 

PILOT needs all types of volunteers: those with animal welfare experience, and those just getting started.   Some positions require interacting with animals while others call for interacting with your computer.

PILOT volunteers:

  • Match dogs in need with MA animal welfare groups that can place them up for adoption
  • Assist animal welfare organizations with posting dogs to the PILOT program
  • Transport dogs between organizations
  • Help find veterinary resources for dogs 
  • Observe and record the behavior of dogs available for transfer through PILOT 
  • Follow up to see how PILOT dogs are doing in their new homes 
  • Create positive relationships with MA animal welfare organizations and veterinarians 

What Volunteer Positions Are Available and How Do I Apply?

Volunteers are needed year-round and are required to make a minimum six-month commitment.  Click the link below to learn more and let us know what interests you.
